Archery Classes in May
Archery classes begin Monday, May 4, 2026 at the Keowee Archery facility and will meet every Monday for 3 weeks at 5:30 PM, with each session lasting approximately 1 to 1½ hours. The class is open to students ages 8 and up, and all equipment and instructional materials, including bows, arrows, and targets, are provided. The total cost is $100 for all 3 sessions, with a family rate available upon request. Class size is limited, so please register today.

2026 Keowee Bowmen May Mixer
Join us for the 2026 May Mixer at Keowee Bowmen on May 9th, 2026, a unique archery event designed to give shooters the opportunity to experience multiple disciplines in a single tournament. This event introduces archers to 3D, Field, Hunter, and Animal Archery formats, making it perfect for both seasoned competitors and those looking to expand their skills. NASP shooters are welcome to participate, with a maximum shooting distance of 15 meters.
The shoot briefing will begin at 8:30 AM, followed by a 9:00 AM shotgun start. Throughout the event, participants will rotate through different shooting styles, creating a fun, well-rounded experience that challenges accuracy and adaptability in a relaxed, supportive environment. The May Mixer is designed to be both competitive and welcoming, encouraging archers of all ages and skill levels to get involved and try something new.
Shooting fees are $10 for adults, $5 for youth under 18, with a $30 family maximum, and mothers shoot free in celebration of Mother’s Day weekend. Pre-registration is encouraged to help with planning, with payment accepted on the day of the event, and a small processing fee applied for online payments. Food will be available for purchase, featuring grilled hot dogs at standard club pricing.

2026 Keowee Classic
Join us for the 2026 Keowee Classic at Keowee Bowmen Archery Club on May 16th and 17th, 2026, a premier 3D archery tournament set on our scenic natural-terrain course in Central, South Carolina. This event is open to archers of all skill levels, from beginners to experienced competitors, and offers a fun, family-friendly opportunity to enjoy challenging 3D targets, great community, and a full weekend of archery.
The Keowee Classic will feature 20 targets with a single-round format, giving shooters the flexibility to compete on either Saturday or Sunday. This event is also WNC Circuit Shoot #7, making it a great stop for circuit shooters while still remaining welcoming and accessible for local archers, families, and anyone looking to spend time outdoors testing their skill.
Shooting fees are $20 for adults age 18 and older, $15 for young adults ages 15 to 17, $10 for youth ages 12 to 14, and free for cubs age 11 and under, with a $45 family maximum. Registration will be available from 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM both days. Lunch will be available for purchase. The tournament director is David Thompson, and questions may be sent to keoweebowmen@gmail.com.

Keowee Field League
Sharpen your field skills and compete week after week in the Keowee Bowmen Field League. This 8-week league is built for archers of all experience levels, whether you are tuning up for tournament season or looking for consistent, competitive shooting on a field course with known distances.
Each week features mixed rounds with field faces, hunter faces, and an animal-face finish, plus handicap team scoring that keeps competition close and fun. Shoot with the Thursday group at 5:30 PM or, if needed, shoot at your leisure and let us know when you are completing that week’s round.
Official scoring, team competition, and a welcoming but competitive atmosphere make this a great way to improve execution in changing terrain and conditions. Spots are limited, so reserve your place, shoot your best, and see where you stack up.
